An ERT member lost his gun. That's right the gun issued to him by the Sheriff is gone, stolen from his car according to the police incident report.
A deputy lost her ID and badge the other week. What's next?
If I'm not mistaken the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office has been victimized by crime more often than any other county agency. A year ago or so deputy uniforms were stolen out of a car. Is someone tying to outfit an impostor?
Serious how can you protect a community when you can't keep your hands on your own stuff?
Then you have all the arrested deputies or the should be arrested deputies that seem to find their way into the unemployment line if not in jail.
Speaking of which, where is our buddy Trey Jordan? Isn't he due in court sometime soon for taking bribes?
Oh dear, oh my, oh well who cares? Things keep rolling with or without any of this mattering enough to talk about. Besides if you hold your mouth just right maybe things will turn out to be just fine.
Case in point
The deputy that had her ID and badge stolen got it back according to the Carolina Beach Police Department. Apparently some good Samaritan walking along Greenfield Street discovered the deputies pocketbook with everything but the cash intact. Badge, ID, etc., all there to be recovered and delivered back to the deputy 3 weeks later. Can that be right? Maybe I need to call back up and see if that's right. 3 weeks is a long time for a pocketbook to be sitting in the middle of some busy street in the middle of one of Wilmington's less fortunate neighborhoods. Hell one week is a long time. Well, miracles do happen I guess.
This missing badge went on as a BOLO on the radio last week. The badge was stolen first of the month. I havent heard it has been found.
