REASON TO DO YOUR JOB CORRECTLY

A car-mounted video camera — more commonly used by police than against them — captured a loud and threatening confrontation in this tiny St. Louis County community that left an officer on suspension and the whole world able to listen in.

The picture doesn't show much, but the audio part of the recording, posted on Google Video and YouTube on the Internet, brought more than 300 protest calls to St. George Police Chief Scott Uhrig.

"I was very displeased when I saw the actions on the video," Uhrig said. "My officers are not trained and taught to act like that."

He put Sgt. James Kuehnlein on unpaid suspension pending further investigation.

All good cops feel their hair stand on end when they see a video like this. There is nothing worse than someone abusing their authority. As we have shown in prior articles and investigations there is absolutely nothing worse than someone sworn to uphold the law abusing that authority. These sort of events stain the good men and women of law enforcement with the rotten smell of a bad cop. There is nothing worse. There are no excuses. Shame on all of them.

But the positive side of this is that people are out there, with cameras, witnesses etc that will bring these shameful acts to light. Since there are over 100,000 officers on the street every day the percentage of bad is microscopic.

To all those who serve the public with pride and with professional ethics, we salute you!

DEADLY FORCE

WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES OF DEATH

Just in case you need reminding why we are fighting this war in Iraq. This is an execution of members of the Iraqi police force. Hard to imagine any mercy within 1,000 miles of this country.

101 YEAR OLD MUGGED ON VIDEO

Who wants to go with me to the trial of this piece of crap that beat this 101 year old woman for $33?

The puke glances at a security camera, pulls a mask over his face and then slugs the 101-year-old woman in the head as she steps out of her Queens apartment with the help of a geriatric walker.
The brutal punch is followed by another quick blow that knocks a woolen hat off Rose Morat's head.
She somehow stays on her feet until the cowardly attacker grabs her neck and punches her again and again and throws her to the ground.
The thug flees only after searching Morat's pockets and swiping $33 from her purse.
"I'm quite sure that if had happened when I was younger, I would have been after him," Morat told the Daily News yesterday from her Jamaica Estates home.
"I would have killed him," she fumed, a dark bruise visible on her face. "I'm a very strong woman. I've been that way my whole life."
The shocking beating, which left Morat with a broken cheekbone, was recorded on a surveillance tape.
The NYPD released the footage yesterday in hopes of catching the mugger, who beat another elderly woman the same day, setting a new low for attacking the helpless.
Morat, a retired communications worker, who spent four days recovering at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, said the man approached her Sunday and offered to help her out of her home, using a pink bike to prop open her door.
"I see this man sitting on one of the couches that we have in the foyer," she recalled. "He came toward me smiling and he said, 'Let me help you down the stairs.'
"I said, 'That's not necessary,' and he said, 'Let me help you out the door then.'"
"I thought, 'Oh, he's going to open the door wide so I can get out with my walker, and with that I got hit," she said. "The blood was flowing out of my nose."
She said she doesn't remember anything after the initial blow.
About 30 minutes later, the same man attacked 85-year-old Elizee Solange as she entered her Hillside home, police said.
Again, the man offered to help his elderly victim, police said.
When the Haitian immigrant, a former schoolteacher, declined, the man pounced.
"He pushed me and began to beat me in my face," she said. "He hit me in my face and my head and my mouth, and I had lots of blood coming out of my mouth.
"God saved my life. Oh, my God. People are bad. I was scared. I don't know if he rape me or kill me.
"I am afraid to go out, but [the police] say they have people looking for him."
The suspect stole $32 from Solange, police said.
"There has to be a special rung in hell for him," a police source said.
Investigators urged anyone with information to call (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

BE SAFE GUYS

Every show Marc signs off with a word of thanks to our sheepdogs and with an encouragement to be safe.

This video shows why it is on our hearts every Saturday around 2PM to say that. Nothing is routine, every situation is different.

So be safe guys... and thanks!

Speaking of downtown...

No this is not an Inter-pol recruit, although I do believe he would fit right in.

Crack dealer on the run

You know what I like? I like seeing dumb ass crack dealers panicing. You know, the same way parents panic when their son tells them to go to hell and let them live their own life. The same way a wife panics when her husband comes home all twisted up from crack after spending the diaper money on a hit.

I like to see that panic, fear, uncertainty in the eyes of a death merchant just before they hit the road.

Be nice? Play fair? Yeah right.

THIS GUY CAN DRIVE

One of Raleigh PD's finest - and head of their officer driver training program - gives Street Survival crew and volunteers a quick demo of some of the things they teach. First he runs our "graduation course" and then he demonstrates a J-turn and an at-speed U-turn.

Now if you think you have a chance out manuvering a police officer that has graduated from this class you better think again.
