Bolivia | Deputies say a 26-year-old woman tried to bring contraband
into the Brunswick County jail Friday by hiding items in the cut-out
pages of a Bible.
The items found in the Bible were among the contraband deputies say they found hidden in the personal property of Nicoll Christine Brennan of Southport.
In all, authorities found an ice pick, marijuana and pills, which are a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia hidden in Brennan's property, according to a statement from the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies charged Brennan with numerous allegations including carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a controlled substance with the intent to sell and deliver, and possessing a controlled substance on jail property.
She is being held in the jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
